Details of National Social Media Award 2016

The Social Media Awards category as part of the Student Enterprise Awards is going from strength to strength and will continue again in 2015/16. We are delighted once again to have our sponsors Essential French on board for this year.

The awards will work the same as last year and as per instructions in the SEAs student workbook. This element of the competition  is open to all students nationally taking part in the SEAs and not just those who make it to the National Final in April.

Students can enter by completing the template in the appendices section of the workbook and sending this along with necessary attachments to me by 14th March 2016.

What should students include in their submissions?

  • Completed template as per page 78 on workbook (see attached).
  • Printed-out sheets containing numbers of followers at date of entry, screenshots detailing the most important parts of their social media campaign e.g. their engagement with their audience, number of views, followers etc…
  • For Snapchat accounts the following is needed: screenshots of their Snapchat story timeline so the judges can see number of views.
  • Students should include account details of all social media channels including Snapchat, Instagram, Vine, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc…
  • Please note that the judges are not looking for students to provide text on definitions of social media etc… what they really want to see in students’ submissions is exactly what impact their social media campaigns have had on their business.

N.B. Please ensure that students know that all social media accounts must be set up during the current academic year.
